"Cui Bono" is Latin for "Who Benefits?" and in The Cui Bono Matter, Johnny heads to Green Pass, Virginia to find out the answer to just that question. Southern Belle Louanne Parker has shot her foster father dead, thinking he was a prowler. Everyone in Green Pass thinks it's an open and shut accidental death. But Johnny wants to poke around just the same.
